The police claimed to have arrested eight persons allegedly involved in different snatching cases.

In the first case, division number 6 police have arrested a person identified as Sandeep Singh of Basant Nagar. A mobile phone was recovered from him, the police claimed.

The Model Town police have recovered 10 mobiles and a bike from two persons involved in a snatching incident. The accused have been identified as Deepak Nahar and Karan of Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Ludhiana.

The Sadar police have arrested three persons and recovered an Activa and Rs300 cash from them. The police claimed that these persons snatched the cash and a mobile by flashing a sharp weapon from a man recently. The accused have been identified as Bittu and Mohit of Harpreet Colony, Phullanwal village, and Deepak of Moti Bagh.

In another case, the Focal Point police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in a snatching case. The accused have been identified as Sukhdev of Prem Nagar in Dhandari Khurd and Raja of Deepak Colony, Dhandari Khurd. The police claimed to have recovered three mobiles, a toy pistol and a sharp weapon from them. —TNS
