Samrala, December 6
A child was injured when a stray dog attacked him near the Kabza factory at Khanna this morning. The dog attacked the child while he was playing right in front of his house.
After hearing the cries of the child, his parents and neighbours rushed for help. They shifted the child to the Civil Hospital, Khanna. However, the parents were shocked when the doctors told them that anti-rabies injections were unavailable at the hospital.
The parents took the child to some other hospital.
The SMO of Civil Hospital, Rajinder Gulati, said they had sent a demand letter to the department concerned a few days ago, but they were told that anti-rabies injections were out of stock. — OC
