Divansh Pathania, Shourya Jain register easy wins

Ludhiana, December 8

Shourya Jain and Divansh Pathania registered easy wins in the boys U-11 and U-13 categories, respectively, on the opening day of the Sub-Junior Open Ludhiana District Badminton Championship for Boys and Girls (U-11, 13 and 19), which commenced at the Shastri Hall near Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

Shourya beat Manan Chugh 21-0, 21-3 and Divansh defeated Saksham Gambhir 21-5, 21-3 to advance into the next round. Mohinder Singh Grewal, president of the District Badminton Association along with Anupam Kumaria and Charanjit Singh, secretary and technical secretary, respectively of the association wished the players good luck.
