Dist jumps to third position

As many as 33,520 students appeared for Class XII examinations of the PSEB in Ludhiana district, of whom 26,334 students have passed with a pass percentage of 78.56.

Among the top three districts in the state overall result, Ludhiana stands at the third position, preceded by Mansa with 78.59 percentage and Muktsar Sahib with 79.64 percentage, according to the PSEB list of district-wise pass parentage.

Last year, Ludhiana was ranked 12th with a pass percentage of 63.97.

Of 16 students, who have secured top 10 ranks in Punjab this year, 10 are from Ludhiana.

Prachi Gaur and Pushwinder Kaur of BCM Senior Secondary School, Focal Point, have bagged the first position in the sports category in the state by securing 100% marks.

Pooja Joshi of Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Shimlapuri, has grabbed the first position (academic) with 98% marks in the humanities stream. Vivek Rajput of Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Shimlapuri, has stood second (academic) with highest percentage of 97.55 in the non-medical stream.
