Diplomat dwells on methods of effective communication

Gulzar Group of Institutes organised a workshop on ‘Effective Communication’ here today. 

The key speaker was Deepak Vohra, Indian diplomat who is serving as the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau.  

The workshop gave students an insight into communication skills required to succeed in a professional atmosphere. 

The workshop was divided into four parts — interpersonal communication skills, writing skills, presentation skills and personal skills. 

With many interesting videos and real-life examples from the speaker, the audience was spell bound. An interactive session was organised and students raised several questions. 

He also gave an insight into three overlapping components of communication — message, method and medium. 

Chairman Gurcharan Singh emphasised the importance of consistently enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the campus to achieve excellence.
