The shooting for the film ‘Dastan-e-Sirhind’ attributed to the sacrifice of younger Sahibazadas of the 10th Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh, is in progress at Kalour village, near Bassi Pathana.

The script of the film has been written by Navi Sidhu, who belongs to Fatehgarh Sahib. It is Sidhu’s dream project as he has been working from last four years on the story of the film. Director of film is Manpreet Brar, who has many years work experience in the film industry. This is his first film as director.

The star cast of this film includes actors Gurpreet Ghuggi as lead hero and other seniors Yograj Singh, Sardar Sohi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Gurpreet Bhangu, Gurmeet Sajan, Gurinder Makna,Jaswant Daman, Jaccyinth, Ansh, Puneet Dhaliwal and others.

The film is being produced under the banner of Creative Eye Films. Its producers are Vimal Chopra, Maninder Papneja,Mohan Maggo ,Gurchan Singh Raju,Navi Sidhu ,Rana Vickram Singh and Mintu Nagpal.

The lyrics of movie written in Farsi, Urdu and Punjabi language by new writer ‘Khaak’ are heart-touching. Film songs are sung by singers of Pollywood and Bollywood. The music is given by Gurcharan Singh.

The film is based on a Canadian NRI Punjabi, who goes far away from his religion. Due to his busy work schedule he fails to give time to his family and teach his child about his culture and Sikh religion.

He comes to Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab along with his family to reconnect with his ancestral roots, culture, tradition. His grandmother tells about the entire history of martyrdom of Chote Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri. The film gives a message to the people to remember about the history of Sikhism.

As per Navi Sidhu about 50 per cent shooting of film has been completed. The remaining film will be completed in the coming few months with some scenes shot in Canada.
