Ludhiana, October 23

City-based writer Vaneet Chaudhary has come up with a book of anthology of poems titled “Genesis” by different poets.

The bilingual book has poems in English and Hindi and features 10 poems each by 20 poets. He has written the poems in Hindi under pen name of Vaneet ‘Sidharth’, his son’s name. He says that most of the poets belong to the Tricity. Most of the poems explore the human psyche and bring to the fore different emotions of love, separation, pain, fears, and emotions that lie deep inside the mind.

A chartered accountant by profession, he always had an inclination for poetry and literature. Years of reading poetry has culminated in penning down these poems. But the poignancy he has experienced over the past six years has especially influenced his poetry, he says.

Seeing the emotional pain of my son Siddharth after he lost his mother at eight, has found an expression in this poetry, he says.

Rather than anthology by different poets, I will write my own stories, he says. Right now, I am now working on another book in which the poetry would be in Punjabi and English, he adds.
