A city-based girl, Jhanvi Behal, will be going on Tiranga Yatra from Mumbai to Kargil. This will be her second Tiranga Yatra, the earlier one being from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

“My Tiranga Yatra is all about patriotism, love for the country and all that Indian forces are doing for the countrymen which can never be repaid. This is my small gesture to show my love for my county, and respect for the Indian forces who guard the country 24x7,” said Jhanvi.

Jhanvi, who will be starting her yatra next month, recently met DGP Dinkar Gupta. The DGP presented Jhanvi with a huge national flag which she will unfurl at Gateway of India and then at Kargil.

“I will start my yatra in May after the elections and it will by road,” she said. She is still to chalk a detailed plan of her expedition. She said it was too early to talk about the duration of the yatra.

“Last time when I went on Tiranga Yatra, I collected sand from all places wherever I went. After coming back home, I planted a rose sapling in the mixed sand. If flowers can bloom in the sand collected from different places, then why can’t humans live together,” said Jhanvi.

“I am excited and looking forward to some new experiences and meeting new people of our land,” she said.
