Ludhiana, January 6

From this year onwards, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made it mandatory for the examiners to write their names on the answer sheets after examining them. This will be applicable for both Class 10 and 12. In addition to this, the main examiner’s name will also be written on the answer sheets. The step has been taken so that it can be easily known about the examiner and main examiner.

The step has been taken to ensure that answer sheets are checked on time and not in a hurry, thus avoiding any mistakes in checking at the last hour.

Earlier, the signatures of the examiners used to be there on the answer sheets. From this year, the name of the examiner, name of the school and subject will also be written on the answer sheet marked by them.

The list of the examiners will be available online and a master trainer will further give training to the examiners.

According to the sources, the checking centres will be formed in only those schools where all the facilities will be in place. The list of the examiners will be given to the board and it will also mention the details of the examiners and the number of copies examined by him/her in a day. All the examination checking centres will also provide details to the board.

In addition to this, videography of the checking centres will also be done so as to maintain transparency. Examiners will have to come on time for checking and at the end of the day, the details of the same will be provided to the board.
