The accident occurred during dense fog in the morning. The deceased have been identified as Avtar Singh (42), a resident of Ganguwal village, and his friend Rishipal Singh (32), a resident of Bani, near Anandpur Sahib.

Those injured include Harpal Kaur, wife of Avtar Singh, and his minor daughter Sehajleen and his mother-in-law Gurmeet Kaur.

As per the information, Avtar Singh left for Ludhiana with his family and friend to buy some items on wholesale rates for their shops in Anandpur Sahib.
