Cancer awareness camp organised

Ludhiana, January 21

CT University, in association with the World Cancer Care Organisation, held a cancer awareness-cum-free medical checkup camp here on Sunday. 

The camp involved medical check-up and distribution of medicines for free. Six buses equipped with modern equipment were present at the event. 

The camp was inaugurated by CT University Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, World Cancer Care Chairman Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, World Cancer Care MD Dharminder Dhillon and Parminder Kaur, Co-Chairperson, CT Group. Hundreds of people from approximately 200 villages participated in the camp. 

Besides Jagraon, people from Ludhiana, Raikot and Moga came to the camp. Under their CSR, CT University and World Cancer Care organised the camp to help the poor and the underprivileged. Charanjit Singh Channi said the CTU aimed at fulfilling its social responsibility by organising such camps are for the cancer patients.
