BVM excel in judo, handball

LUDHIANA: Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, finished among position holders in the District Judo and Handball Competitions organised by the District Education Department on September 14 and 15.

Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, finished among position holders in the District Judo and Handball Competitions organised by the District Education Department on September 14 and 15. In judo (U-14), Keshav won a gold medal in the below 40-kg weight category and Lakshay secured a silver in the below 35-kg group. The school team bagged overall second position.

In the U-17 group, Akash and Neeraj clinched bronze medals in the below 45-kg and 55-kg groups, respectively.

Similarly, in handball, six players from the school namely Gurvinder Khera, Mohit Singh Rawat, Arjun Divakar, Amrit Sharma, Akshay Kumar and Munish Kumar represented the PAU Zone and emerged champions. — OC
