Brampton MP felicitated

Several local organisations have felicitated Brampton MP Ruby Sahota as the ‘Star Daughter of Punjab’. The MP is a member of the Canadian delegation accompanying Premier Justin Trudeau during his India visit.

Facebook users have posted pictures clicked with the Ruby Sahota on her visit to the area. The MP acknowledged the gesture through her Facebook account. She wrote, “I was so overwhelmed by the love shown by Indians in my father’s village. This unconditional love originates from friendships bolstered by strong people to people and cultural ties, and a long history of cooperation that our government is committed to strengthening.” OC

Khamano: Brampton MP Ruby Sahota was honored by Zila Parishad chairman Baljeet Singh Bhutta. This is the her first visit after becoming MP. Born and brought up in Canada, shespeaks English and Punjabi fluently. She urged youngsters to speak their mother tongue Punjabi, while learning other languages. OC
