Book ‘Ret Par Rangoli’, a valuable addition to Hindi poetry work

In a literary function organised by the literary organisation Kavita Katha Karwan at the local Punjabi Bhawan, a newly published book ‘Ret Par Rangoli’ of Jaspreet Kaur ‘Falak’ was released. The chief guest of the event was the eminent poet Padmashri Dr Surjit Patar, while the guest of honour was CT University registrar Dr Jagtar Dhiman and principal of Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women, Dr Kirandeep Kaur.

In his remarks, Dr Patar appreciated Falak’s writing style and welcomed her book as a valuable addition to Hindi poetry, which carries wonderful similes and metaphors from nature and society.

Jaswant Zafar, described Falak’s poetry as multi-dimensional as it touched various concerns of human life and society. He added that Jaspreet Falak had created a niche of credibility for her when she published her first anthology of poems.

Congratulating the author, Dr Jagtar Dhiman, lauded the meaningful poems by Jaspreet Kaur Falak. He said ‘Falak’had established a niche of creditability among the litterateurs of Punjab, especially in Hindi poetry. Describing her a poetess of substance, Dr Dhiman said she wrote poetry with rhythm, creativity and joyfulness.

The dignitaries were honoured on the occasion. Jaspreet Kaur ‘Falak’, the author of the book, thanked the speakers who critically analysed the contents and style of her poetry and recited some of her poems in elaborative mode. She said she largely derived thoughts from societal ambience and that her own experiences inspired her writings.
