Oriental Bank of Commerce celebrated it’s 77 th Foundation Day at it’s Ludhiana office. On the occasion, a blood donation and dental check-up camps were held under the leadership of Surendra Kumar Verma, Deputy General Manager (Circle Head) at Ludhiana and Moga. The bank was established on February 19, 1943, under the leadership of Rai Bahadur Lala Sohan Lal at Lahore.

Session on neonatal intensive care unit

The 14th National workshop on developmentally supportive care in neonatal intensive care unit was organised at Satguru Partap Singh Hospital in association with the Development and Supportive Care Foundation for Newborn and Children (India) and National Neonatology Forum. Around 50 delegates participated and received hands on training. Renowned faculty from across the country delivered lectures to delegates. The goal of this workshop was to provide a structured care environment which supports, encourages and guides the developmental organisation of premature and critically ill neonates. Nursing staff and doctors from Punjab participated in the workshop.

Yoga session for Hero Steel employees

Hero Dayanand Medical College Heart Institute (HDHI) conducted a three-day yoga camp for 30 employees of Hero Steel Ltd. The camp was conducted by senior yoga consultant of HDHI Dr Sanjeev Singh Rawat. Gurlochan Balbir Singh, CEO, Hero Steel Ltd, acknowledged the initiative taken by the HDHI for guiding the employees to perfom asanas. The CEO said it was very important for every organisation to ensure that their employees stay fit and healthy. Dr Rawat said in today’s stressful life, one should spare at least half an hour daily for doing yoga asanas. Yoga is an essence to remain physically and mentally fit, he said.
