Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao awareness week begins

Ludhiana, October 8

Several activities will be organised in the district as part of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign of the Ministry of Women and Child Development as an awareness week will be observed under this campaign in the country from October 9 to 14.

DC Pradeep Agarwal directed the officials to make preparations to make this awareness drive reach people. He said during the week-long awareness campaign, the department would be campaigning from door to door.

Quiz for raising awareness on election process

The ECI will conduct quiz competitions in the country to make students (14 to 17 years)aware about the election process. District Electoral Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agarwal said a district-level committee and Assembly constituencies have been formed in this regard, where two teachers of District SVEEP Nodal Officer, DEO, DPRO and political science teachers have been included under District Electoral Officer. — TNS
