Axis XI emerge victorious

Axis XI beat DCB Bank by 37 runs to lift the trophy in the 5th edition of the Corporate Cricket League organised by Sportz Entertainment Media at Bhattian village here yesterday.

The event was organised to promote sports and was supported by Bonn, Duke and SK Bikes, in which 12 teams took part. In the final, Axis XI won the toss and opted to bat first. In the stipulated 10 overs, they made 93 runs in which the main contributions came through Paras and Sandeep Nath, who scored 35 and 20 runs, respectively. Chasing the target, DCB Bank could muster 56 runs.

Paras was declared the man of the match, while Sandeep Nath was adjudged the player of the league. Amul of DCB Bank was named the best batsman and his teammate, Rahul was declared the best bowler.
