Awareness rally against drugs

Jagraon, December 18

Akal Academy, Sawadi Kalan, carried out an awareness rally against the menace of drugs here today.

Jagraon DSP Kanwarpal Singh Bajwa flagged of the rally which started from the Jagraon Tehsil Chowk and concluded at Raikot Road, after passing through various areas of the city. Jagraon City SHO Inderjit Singh Boparai and Traffic Police head Nidhan Singh were present during the occasion. Students participating in the rally carried placards.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Gurbinder Kaur said such rallies were carried out throughout Punjab by students of Akal Academy today. She said: “Drugs have ruined the lives of thousands of youths and it is only through awareness that we can eradicate the menace from our society.”
