Ludhiana: The Police DAV Public School organised its annual day function on Sunday on the theme Prakrati-Ek Anubhuti. Dr Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab Government was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. The students extended a warm welcome by presenting a musical dance performance ‘Abhinandan’. Principal Anu Verma presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school. Meritorious students were given prizes in the prize distribution ceremony. The chief guest said achievements already made by the school are testimony to the vision of its founders and are a clear indicator of what they are heading for. In the end, the principal thanked all the dignitaries and congratulated the meritorious students for their efforts.  TNS

Green Land Convent School

The school organised its 11th annual prize distribution function cultural fest - Folklore of Punjab with fervour. RJ Khanderao, Regional Director, CBSE, Panchkula, was the chief guest at the event. The celebration began with the warm floral welcome of the chief guest by the Chairman Dr Rajesh Rudhra. Principal Jyoti Sachdev Pujara welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries. The function began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by ‘Ganesh Vandana’. A musical fest was presented by the school’s orchestra group. Head Girl (Junior) gave a speech in highlighting the achievements of the school. The function included a series of thematic performances. Kindergarten dance titled ‘Kid-O-Joy’ and Punjabi play ‘Toya’ were the highlights of the event. The main attraction of the programme was a unique presentation on legendary persons of Punjab, who has brought great glory to the state and country with their achievements. The accomplishments of proud personalities were highlighted to motivate the youngsters to follow them as role models. TNS
