Admn’s job fair drive in top gear

RAIKOT: The Ludhiana district administration organised a sub-division level job fair to provide employment opportunities to youngsters under the state government’s “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana”at Swami Ganga Giri Girls School on Saturday.

The Ludhiana district administration organised a sub-division level job fair to provide employment opportunities to youngsters under the state government’s “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana”at Swami Ganga Giri Girls School on Saturday.

The event was held under the supervision of Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal. More than 50 companies participated in the job fair and shortlisted candidates from 2,311 youth.

Raikot SDM Dr Himanshu Gupta said the first job fair of the segment was held at SGG Girls School at Goindwal today. He said managers of various companies were contacted in advance to ensure that candidates could be counselled.

The organisers also coordinated with managements of establishments from surrounding areas as well.

UVS Hospital, Life Care Hospital, Lajyawati Hospital, OLA, SIS Security Services, Sky International, Life Insurance Corporation, Shree Ram LIC, Cooperative Society (Raikot), International Marketing Corporation, and Shree Ganesh Feed Industries, among others, participated in the job fair to provide employment to youngsters.
