700 youth selected

Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said under the state government’s “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana” sub-divisional level job fairs were being organised in the district.

He said motive of the Punjab Government was to provide employment to maximum number of unemployed youngsters.

The DC added that two job fairs would be organised on February 17 at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon, and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal.

It is pertinent to mention that during a job fair held at Government ITI, Gill Road, more than 700 youth were selected by various companies.

He said youngsters can register themselves on www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in portal. Agrawal said youth should take full advantage of job fairs as several reputed companies were willing to provide employment opportunites.

On February 22, two fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna, and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.
