70 artists showcase creativity, skill

Several budding and experienced artists came together to exhibit their art and skill during an exhibition here today.

One of the organisers, Kamal Mankoo, said the exhibition had 62 stalls displaying works of more than 70 budding and experienced artists from the city. Another organiser Taran Mankoo said the exhibition was organised every year, but this year, the emphasis was on women artists. He said, “This is a platform for budding artists to showcase their work. Even budding chocolatiers and bakers had their creations for all.”

Brothers Ravneet Saggu, a graffiti artist, and Avneesh Saggu, a photography artist, too, had their creations on display. Aarushi Neelam, a young artist ,displayed several pencil sketches, which were created by her. Rupa Arora, who conjured up artworks by mixing real coffee, ceramic and Fevicol, said she loved coffee and through different shades. Calligraphy artworks of Sandeep, another budding artist, were also on display during the exhibition. Rekha Arora had several artworks done with festive season in mind.

A stall had craft items created from waste material, including plastic bottles and newspapers on display. Lovisha and Pratabha said creating such art was their penchant.
