Ludhiana October 20

The Sarabha Nagar police have booked three friends of a 17-year-old boy for sodomising him and blackmailing him with objectionable videos of the victim.

The accused have been identified as Jaskirat Singh of BRS Nagar, Ishneet Singh of Housing Board Colony and Atul of Housing Board Colony. The accused are yet to be arrested by the police. A case was registered under Sections 377 and 384 of the IPC, and Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 67 B of the IT Act against the accused.

The complainant, a trader of BRS Nagar, told the police that his son was in living in some tension from the past few days. The complainant said though he asked his son about the reason of his tension, he did not reveal anything.

Recently, when he got the chance to check the mobile phone of his son, he was shocked to see the threatening messages and objectionable videos sent by his friends. When he asked his son about the threatening messages, he told him that he was being sodomised by the three from the past three years and they had also been blackmailing him with his objectionable videos.

“The accused blackmailed my son with the objectionable videos and usurped 32 tola gold from him and several lakhs cash in the past three years. When I apprised the families of the accused about the act of their wards, they instead of rebuking their children, threatened me to viral the videos of my son on Internet,” victim’s father alleged.

ACP (West) Gurpreet Singh said the probe was on in the case.
