257 attend heart check-up camp

A free heart check-up camp was organised by Health Awareness Society here today. As many as 257 patients were checked by doctors at the camp. Dr TS Kaler, specialist of heart diseases, Dr Milan, Dr Bharag, Dr Alka Sexana and other team members of a heart institute in New Delhi attended to patients.

While addressing the patients at the camp, Dr TS Kaler said, “Punjabi people take more healthy diet, but lack in exercise, which causes heart problems.”

He appealed all to take balanced diet, exercise every day and also undergo check up at regular intervals to keep themselves healthy.

MLA, Samrala, Amrik Singh Dhillon, district president of Akali Dal (Santa Singh Umaidpuri) were the chief guests on the occasion. Organiser Parvinder Singh Balli thanked all for attending the camp. — OC
