Over 200 dairy companies showcase products

The 13th Dairy and Agriculture Fair being organised by the Progressive Dairy Farmers’ Association (PDFA) at Pashu Mandi, Jagraon, entered its second day today. A large number of dairy farmers took part in the dairy expo during the second day.

Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu visited as the chief guest during the second day of the expo.

While speaking during the occasion, Sidhu appreciated the efforts being made by the PDFA for promoting fairy farming among farmers of Punjab. He said PDFA organised international level dairy show and exhibition every year to motivate the farmers to keep good quality animals.

The cabinet minister insisted the dairy farmers to adopt modern technologies and take full advantage of the schemes being run by the government to promote their dairy farming business.

PDFA President Daljit Singh Sadarpura said their association was connected with the farmers from grassroots level, which organised the international-level dairy and farmers’ fair to keep them in touch with new technologies.

More than 200 dairy companies showcased their products and technologies.
