10 trains cancelled, courtesy weather

Railway passengers were at receiving end once again as weather took a U-turn which led to reduced visibility and intense cold wave in the region. As a result, the Railways had to cancel 10 trains, partially cancel two trains and reschedule a train.

It was stated that 12241/42 Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh Intercity Express, 13006 Amritsar-Howrah Mail, 13151 Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Sealdah Express, 14673 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express, 15209/10 Saharsa-Amritstar-Saharsa Jansewa Express, 15211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Jananayak Express and 15707-08 Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar Amrapali Express trains were cancelled for the day.

A pair of 14613/14 Chandigarh-Firozepur-Chandigarh remained partially cancelled between SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Chandigarh in both directions while 18101 Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Muri Express was rescheduled by 3 hours.
