Yoga is not only a form of exercise but a lifestyle in itself. It is an ancient form of physical, spiritual and mental practice that has been proven to have amazing benefits. Yoga has affected the lives of many people today. Performing yoga every day helps an individual in the long run.

Satkam Divya, CEO, KlinicApp, said yoga has various types of exercises in it. There are breathing exercises such as anuloma-villoma, in which one learns to balance their breathing pattern and has proved to help people with respiratory disorders. There are various asanas that are helpful in bringing stretchability in body such as Padmasana, a position known to be attained by gurus. Yoga originated in India and has been performed by rishi and munis for a long time. Spiritually, yoga practitioners have been seen to reach the seven levels of peace of mind and body, including “Moksha” and “Samadhi”, he added.

City-based Tanya, who has been practising yoga from the past 15 years, said yoga was an art of living. There were no benefits of doing yoga after eating junk food and sleeping late at light, she added. “Yoga means a disciplined life and one can draw benefits from yoga only after leading a strict disciplined life,” she said.
