‘Illegal’ liquor seized, two accused arrested

Ahead of the MC polls, the Focal Point police recovered 105 boxes of ‘illegal’ liquor from different persons on Monday.

The Focal Point police station SHO, Amandeep Singh Brar, said, “We recovered 30 boxes of Imperial Blue and 35 boxes of local made liquor during inspection of vehicles on GT Road in the Focal Point area.”

“The accused has been identified as Satnam Singh of Purana Bazar, Sahnewal,” he said. A case has been registered against the accused at the Focal Point police station.

“In the second case, the police recovered 40 boxes of liquor from a resident of Khanpur village. As many as 20 boxes of Officer’s Choice and 20 boxes of Dollar brand have been seized. The accused has been identified as Kuldeep Singh,” said the SHO. “In both cases, the accused have been arrested”, he added.
