Make way for the new ‘theme’ which is making rounds in the Punjabi film industry- war, World War that involved the Sikhs, war martyrs, historic battles and more. This time in the Punjabi Circle, meet singer-actors, who are part of different war movies, while some have shared their first look on social media, others would like to keep everything under wraps.

And on the other side of the Circle is Parmish Verma, the suave actor and singer, who is asking people to not use cuss words. Time for good news first.

And they march on

Gippy Grewal-starrer Subedar Joginder Singh and Diljit Dosanjh’s movie on World War 1, Rangroot are the two most talked about films in the industry. The interesting story is that many known singer-actors will be seen in the two projects. Singer Roshan Prince, Kulwinder Billa, Sardar Sohi, Gugu Gill, Jordan Sandhu are all part of Subedar Joginder Singh, while actor Yograj will be seen in the Diljit-starrer.

Another interesting bit is while Diljit and his co-stars have been sharing their pictures from the shoot with the fans, the team of Subedar Joginder Singh is in no mood to do so. Competition is the word.

The Jatt carries on

The cult comedy film Carry On Jatta is all set to create a laugh riot with Carry On Jatta 2. The film will hit cinemas in June 2018. Directed by Smeep Kang, it will be releasing under the banner of White Hill Studios. The film was set for an early release but since actor Gippy Grewal was busy in the shoot of an under production, Carry On Jatta 2 was slightly delayed. Now, we hear Gippy is ready to shoot the laugh riot.

No cuss words please

Actor-singer Parmish Verma releases his new track Gaal Ni Kadni. The song has an advice and also a message for all and sundry. Desi Crew has given the music and the lyrics is by Vicky Gill. While the audience has accepted Parmish as a ‘good’ actor after his film Rocky Mental, he has found a huge acceptance as a singer as well. Gaal Ni Kadni will certainly take his popularity to the next level.

Here she comes

Make way for another female Punjabi singer, Priya Sharma and her new single Bandook. The song is conceived and written by Bunty Bains. Looks like Punjabi industry is showing acceptance for many female singers or is it some kind of singing revolution in the industry...only time will tell.
