He made a name in the Indian music scene right with his first song and there has been no looking back for him since but there definitely was a break and now Juggy D is back with a bang.

His latest single, Get Down, is a collaboration with Rishi Rich and Ikka. The singer surely is excited about his new song. “It’s an urban desi, Punjabi rap, which is a group effort. What began just as a vibe has become viral.”

This song may be his comeback in composing a song, but Juggy D says he never stepped back from his performances and has, in fact, been regular both in India and other countries. The break was more of family time.  “Starting a family was my priority and I wanted to give it all it needed. ”

This Punjabi artiste is known for bringing the first Punjabi language album to the UK national charts. He has also sung for many Bollywood films and he thinks trends are really changing in the industry. “These days every Hindi film has to have a Punjabi song to make its music hit. That’s what adds real masala to it.”

Trends ought to undergo a shift and another shift this Indo-British singer has observed is the growth of rap culture in this side of the world. “Rap culture has become massive here. There are so many budding singers taking to this genre. And there is acceptance, which adds to the whole movement.”  Juggy D has surely added to the Punjabi hip-hop scene and also added the flavour to Hindi music but not every independent artiste gets that lucky and this singer agrees to it. “Many singers are taking the path of going independent and some are launching themselves with it and I believe that independent music has a lot of power provided the song, video and music are good. And when this combination gets the support of big label and budget, there is not one who can stop you from getting your due.”
