Janhvi dazzles on ramp

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in Bollywood with the movie Dhadak, walked the ramp for the first time at Lakme Fashion Week on Friday. She was the showstopper for designer Nachiket Barve. Janhvi wore a beautifully tailored blue and pink lehenga with floral embroidery and a sheer pink dupatta. The lehenga had pockets.

The actress kept her hair in a retro style with bold curls keeping it to one side. To support Janhvi as she made her ramp debut, sisters Khushi Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor were by her side at the venue.

‘Was worried of tripping’

The 21-year-old, revealed she was worried about tripping on the ramp. “When he showed me a swatch of the fabric, I thought it’s so stunning and in my head I was like I am going to trip and fall on my face because it looked so heavy, but then when I tried it on, the outfit was light and comfortable,” Janhvi said, post her walk.—ANI

Shahid and Disha rock Amit Aggarwal show

Designer Amit Aggarwal, who has been taking the fashion industry by storm with his sartorial drama and futuristic designs, had showstoppers Shahid Kapoor and Disha Patani.

It was a capsule collection featuring both womenswear and menswear, a mix of lounge-wear, athlesiure, western wear and occasion wear. Shahid was seen in a dull black contemporary bandgala with staple Amit Aggarwal prints. With matching ankle- length trousers, Sasha completed his look with shiny black oxford shoes.

On the other side, Disha seemed party ready in a front thigh-high slit black dress with a plunging neckline.

Karisma goes breezy

Inspired by the colourful Caprese collection, designer Arpita Mehta’s La Fleur collection had the ‘twirl with the wind’ feel. Making a dramatic entry on the ramp was the very lovely Karisma Kapoor who glided in a sheer glittering sari, fitted choli and a gorgeous embellished floor-sweeping cape that floated behind her.
