With love, from Punjab

Mohammad Nazim

Every year, I celebrate Eid with my family and friends in Punjab. All my special memories of celebrating Eid are from there. When I am in my hometown, I meet everyone in the family and we have a get-together. My favourite food would have to be sheer korma and mutton biryani. Also in Punjab, you get this special chole bhature at this time of the year, which is very tasty. Needless to say, my diet goes for a six. After fasting for a month, I have arranged an Eid party on the sets of my show.

Indulging in delicacies

Sara Arfeen Khan

I would be celebrating Eid with family and friends, this year. My husband Arfeen is very particular about spending the day with family. Of course, Eid means putting my diet on a break. I eat a lot of delicacies like sheer khurma and sevaiyan. Our friends visit us. The holy month makes me feel very positive. My fondest memory of the festival is when we threw an Eid party at home and all my friends had come to appreciate the food.

He’s got the blues

Eid is a tough time for me as I miss my family back home in Indore. I will celebrate Eid in Mumbai with my friends. I cannot visit my family because of time constraints. I will miss my little brother and his baby. Celebrating Eid with them is the most special thing!

runs in the family

I will celebrate Eid with my family and friends. My best memory of Eid is celebrating the festival with my mom. My favourite food would be chicken malai tikka and biryani cooked by my aunt. It was a recipe invented by my mother. I feel happy after a month of fasting.

Celebrations, on the job

I will celebrate Eid with my friends and co-stars on the set of my show Ye Moh Moh Ke Dhage. I have a beautiful team and I am always so positive on the sets. My fondest memory of Eid is eating lot of sevaiyan and getting Eidi from father!

It’s time to party!

Hasan Zaidi

Every year on Eid, I have a get-together at my house. I host over 50 people. My fondest memories of Eid are from my childhood days... We used to get gifts and money from the elders. I get excited about Eid food, every year. I like the traditional food of Eid, especially kebabs and biryani.
