You have played different roles in your career. Which one is the best?

Each role has been important to me but Porus is a show which gave me fame. The character of Queen Olympia was appreciated by people across the globe.

Do you think juggling between TV and films is fine or should one stick to only one medium?

It is purely an individual’s choice and depends on person to person. For example, if one sticks to one organization, one tends to grow more. For me, the journey is more important than the destination. I want to explore different characters and different mediums on this journey of mine.

TV draws more audience or movies?

I think it is the content which is the king and not the medium. Any content which is good and liked will be a hit for sure, be it TV or movies or even theatre for that matter.

Now that your movie is released, how is the response?

When we work then we generally don’t even think about the response we will be getting. We just concentrate on our acting. The response I am getting is shocking as well as overwhelming as I did not expect people to like such a simple yet hard-hitting character.  I guess the character’s simplicity worked for the audience.

What is your dream role?

There are a lot of dream roles but I would love to do a biopic of Amrita Pritam. Her life journey is awe- inspiring. She was a wonderful woman. There is a lot of depth and feel to her personality.

Your favourite hangouts in Chandigarh?

Since I am from Chandigarh, my all-time favourite hangouts are the best restaurants in Sector 8 and Sector 10. One gets to eat mouth-watering food.
