Winsome and fit  Prachi Tehlan has a versatile persona; being  a basketball player of the Indian team and even  captain of the Indian Netball Team in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and in other major Asian Championships in 2010-11. 

Nicknamed as  ‘queen of the court’, she made her acting debut with the famous TV series Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus.  She made her film debut with Punjabi film Arjan opposite Roshan Prince. She was also seen in the lead role in Bailaras opposite Binnu Dhillon. Currently, she plays the lead in Ikyawann, opposite Namish Taneja which is ending soon. 

The actress will be next seen  in upcoming south film Mamankam with actor Mamoothy. The girl is going places and totally needs to keep fit. Let’s see how she does it.

Fitness, an integral part  

Fitness has been a part of my life since the age of 12 when I started playing basketball. Since then I have been an active sportsperson, participating in sports like badminton, netball, basketball, table tennis. I am not too fond of gyms and prefer playing a sport as that is more adventurous. I even prefer dancing, zumba, Pilates for burning calories.

Fitness@all day 

5-6 litres of water and intermittent fasting is my new mantra. I eat for 6 hours and fast for 18 hours. It helps a great deal in reducing weight. I make sure I have more of proteins and fibre in my food. Rest I have a lot of green tea and black coffee.

Truly, a busy bee 

Morning workouts are the best. It is best to start the day with physical activity. It makes you feel positive and energetic the entire day. Whenever you feel hungry, make sure you have a glass of water because many times we confuse our thirst with hunger. 

Diet— The main culprit 

Proper diet is the key inroad to fitness and can be the main culprit for hindering fitness. When during busy shoot schedule and odd hours it becomes difficult to take out time for workouts...thus eating healthy is the best way.

I love to binge on Healthy: apple, popcorn, protein biscuits. 

Unhealthy: pizza, bakery items.

My three mantra's

Positive attitude, one hour of physical exercise, good and healthy food. Working  out in a group, helps.  Do what’s right. Not what is easy!
