A shabad kirtan competition was organised by the Association of Gurmat Studies at Gurudwara Amb Sahib, Phase 8, Mohali for children up to 15 years. This was the second year of the competition. It was instituted to encourage children to learn shabad kirtan, thus bringing them close to and learn about the tenets of Sikhism. Twenty five participants out of 70 entries  were chosen , of which the first prize of Rs 11,000/- was won by Sachleen Kaur of Saupin’s School Mohali, second prize of Rs 5100 went to Gurnoor Kaur of Shivalik Public School, Mohali and third prize of Rs 3100 to Devraj Singh of Learning Path School, Mohali .  — TNS
