Sonam special at Cannes

Bollywood’s fashionista Sonam Kapoor made her first Red Carpet appearance at Cannes 2018 on Monday in an embellished Ralph and Russo lehenga. The actress looked every bit of the fashionista that she is! The lehenga had an interesting twist to the sleeves of the crop top. While one of the sleeves was long and flowy, almost giving the ensemble a cape like appearance, the other was simply a fitted one till the elbow. 

Incidentally, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan too hit the Red Carpet at the same time. Sonam and Mahira caught up with each other like old friends. The duo shared a lovely moment wherein Sonam is seen planting a kiss on Mahira’s forehead. 

After her Red Carpet outing, Sonam attended a gala dinner hosted by the Positive Planet Foundation, which has led over 500 initiatives all over the world. The actress was the guest of honour at the gala event, which also included a contemporary art auction. The proceeds of this auction will go towards Positive Planet’s programmes for women empowerment in Sub- Saharan Africa, the Middle East and French priority neighbourhoods. Sonam shared, “Positive Planet Foundation has been doing some inspiring work for the last 20 years. I hope to lend my support in the way I best can and help them in their noble endeavours.”
