What is your role in Dosti Ke Side Effects?

My character’s name is Gaurav Yadav. I am playing a cop for the first time on screen.

What all challenges did you face?

Every character that I have played required a lot of hard work. For this character, I have given variations for all the different shade within one character. But a lot of hard work is required and I try to do justice for all the three shades that are present in one.

From TV to films; how has been the journey so far?

It has been a lovely journey. Both are different mediums, but TV teaches you and trains you so much as an actor. Both are equal for me; one is elder brother and the other is younger; both require hard work.

Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki has given you huge stardom, do you regret leaving the show?

I didn’t leave the show, my contract with Balaji had got over and yes I miss the show.

A dream director with whom you want to work with?

There are so many; but I would love to work with Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Basu and Anurag Kashyap.

What is your dream role?

I get inspired by the characters and roles that Amir Khan sir does.

What are your future projects?

I’m shooting three more films; one would be the sequence of Dosti Ke Side Effects. Everything that I do, I’ll announce on the correct time.
