Anuj Khurana, who hails from Punjab, is currently seen as Vivek Deshmukh in Zee TV’s show Tujhse Hai Raabta. Here’s Anuj in an exclusive chat with us:

We hear you love the show title.

Yes, it is a unique title and it is one of my favourite songs as well.

What is so special about your role?

I’m playing the younger son in Tujhse Hai Raabta. They’re showing him as an obedient guy but he has some grey shades, which will come later on. He has a thing in his mind to start something by himself but the family is not supportive and he does not share a good relation with his wife.

Who is your favourite co-star on the set?

Well, it’s a very tough choice to make, all are super fun to work with, but if I have to, I’ll pick two — Savita ma’am and Poorva.

What is the best compliment you got so far for your character?

The best one has been that my presence counts even in silence. At times my character does not speak much, so it’s like even after being in the scene I have to do nothing yet do a lot.

If not an actor, you would have been?

Cricketer for sure. I did play the sport for my district and college teams. I still regularly play cricket in Mumbai.

What is your connection with Punjab?

Well, I was born and raised in Punjab. I still go to my hometown Makhu. Unlike Mumbai, people are more close to each other at Makhu and I miss that the most here.

What is the best and worst thing about TV?

Well, the best is that you get to play so many different characters. That feeling of exploring things is amazing. Let’s skip the cons here.

Who is your role model in life?

Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
