Have you received any professional training in singing?

No; but I have always been inspired by and grown up listening to Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, Gurdas Maan and many more renowned Punjabi singers.

How did you start your journey in the music industry?

Being a Punjabi, I was strongly inclined towards Punjabi music. While I was an aspiring singer, I created my own content and started singing at festivals as well as concerts. Before I was signed by T-Series, I used to perform anywhere and everywhere possible without giving much consideration of the returns.

What kind of music do you listen to?

I hardly listen to music; however, I extensively listen to soundtracks and instrumentals that give me an open field to absorb the emotions and create songs on those lines. These soundtracks have an endless pool of possibilities and combinations that I can experiment with.

How do you find the show Love Me India?

The concept of the show is engaging and taking up the judge’s position with Love Me India is genuinely a good decision.

Is there any pressure on the contestants who are performing live?

In this competitive world nothing can be achieved without hard work.

Who is your inspiration in the music industry?

The person who has always inspired me to look beyond the lyrics of a song is the great film score producer and composer Hans Zimmer.
