Kajri Babbar’s short film Pardaa has been selected in the semi-finals of the 44th Student Academy Awards organised by Oscars. The film written and directed by Kajri is a tale of an Indian student in England who is desperately in need of money, who sacrifices her religious morals, and starts working in a strip-club. The film also shows the other side of a human nature and tendency.

Kajri has been an active member of Ekjute Theatre Group, founded by her aunt, Nadira Babbar. She played lead roles in many successful plays like Ji Jays Aapki Marzi, Sunam Aur Sana.

She is is currently pursuing her Masters in Film Directing at Arts University Bournemouth in the United Kingdom. She already holds a Masters diploma in Social Communication Media and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Sophia College, Mumbai. Her dream is to use films as a medium to give a voice to the issues that have been buried under the class and sex politics of the world.
