Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Kanika Maheshwari is riding high on the success of her first attempt at short film-making, which has been well-received at various film festivals.  Kanika recently penned down and produced a film that revolves around a mother-daughter relationship after the former has been detected with cancer. The movie’s titled Forever Whim. 

Kanika who’s written and also plays a mother in the film, says shooting for the film was tough. “This movie is not about a patient fighting illness; it touches the sensitive mother-daughter relationship,” she shared.
