Sharman Joshi, who’s donned various hats with different characters and shades in the past, is once again all geared up to surprise his audience with Kaashi: In Search of Ganga.

A source said Sharman visited Banaras 15 days prior to the shoot so that he could get the hang of the lingo and the ways of the locals. Not only that, during the shoot he used to be on the ghats getting a tan to look a shade darker for the character.

On touching base with director Dheeraj Kumar, he stated that Sharman, who portrayed the character of a dom (dom’s are ones who perform last rites), brought our vision of Kaashi to life through his dedication and conviction. The movie is set to release on October 26.
