Madhuri is an inspiration

Actress Sonyaa who plays ‘Ruby’ on Star Plus’ Nazar will be seen wearing a beautiful lehenga for the on screen mehendi ceremony, which is inspired from Madhuri Dixit’s look in the popular movie, Hum Apke Hain Kaun (HAHK). Sonyaa revealed, “I absolutely love Madhuri Dixit. I think she is gorgeous; in fact she is my inspiration. My emerald green lehenga and the intricate jewellery that I wore made me feel like a queen. So far this has been my best on screen look. 

While the makers did not intend on creating a similar look, nothing makes me more excited than to wear a costume strikingly close to Madhuri Dixit’s look.”

Sonyaa, who is in the limelight for playing a young daayan on the show, is originally from New Zealand and has been a Bollywood buff since childhood. She has been a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit and feels grateful for donning her look in her fiction debut.
