The insurance company that compensated reality TV star Kim Kardashian after her Paris robbery is all set to sue her former bodyguard, Pascal Duvier. According to court documents, American International Group (AIG) filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against Pascal Duvier and his company — Protect Security — for USD 6.1 million.

According to the complaint, the company claimed that Duvier, along with the security firm, “negligently, carelessly, and/or recklessly” performed their duties of protecting the star and the apartment she stayed at while attending the Paris Fashion Week in October 2016.

Notably, AIG said Kim, who was left alone in her room, somehow failed to address several security breaches, including a missing/broken lock, a malfunctioning intercom and lack of CCTV surveillance in the building. Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and was robbed of around USD 10 million in cash and jewellery.

Duvier has earlier provided security to the Black Eyed Peas, apart from other members of Kim’s family.  — ANI
