I have been keeping Ganpati at my place since the last seven years. I started bringing Bappa to my home since I came to Mumbai. I do the decorations with the help of my family and friends. My parents come to Mumbai every year for this occasion. Bappa is the guiding force in my life. I love to eat and distribute sweets as well.

Guardian angel

Due to my work timings, I don’t get Ganpati idol at home but do visit friends. Bappa is my guide, my guardian angel. I felt his presence the day I landed the first time in Mumbai. It was the last day of Ganpati and I got blessings from him the moment I stepped in the city.

I do not get Ganpati at home though someday I would. On the first day of the festival, I visit everybody’s home. I meet my friends and see different kinds of Ganpati idols. Bappa’s role is very big in my life because he has helped me so much.

I have been getting Ganpati idol for more than 25 years now. It’s a tradition and my son, Ayaan, also enjoys the festivities. Be it at the set or home, the environment is full of happiness during this period. I feel great and blessed. Bappa has taught me that it is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice.
