Many a time when we think of history, the first thought usually is ‘let’s turn the page’. But it’s imperative to understand that in history lie answers to numerous pertinent questions and issues we are dealing with. St Kabir Public School, Chandigarh, in association with The Anne Frank House, Amsterdam and PeaceWorks—an initiative of The Seagull Foundation for the Arts, Kolkata, brought to the city Anne Frank- A History for Today.

This one is an international travelling exhibition about the life of Anne Frank, a celebrated diarist and victim of Nazi persecution during World War II.

Through 32 panels of photographs that recount Anne’s life, her family members, conditions in the hideout, the war, Nazi concentration camp and her eventual death, the exhibition aims to throw light on the contemporary relevance of those incidents. The time and place may be different but issues such as human rights violations, communalism, identity crisis are prevalent everywhere.
