Bala is a comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Ayushmann Khurrana stars as Bala, a man living in Kanpur, who is suffering from alopecia, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with balding. Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey and Saurabh Shukla feature in supporting roles. Principal photography began in May 2019 at Kanpur and the film was also shot in areas of Mumbai and Lucknow. The soundtrack is composed by Sachin–Jigar.

Fantastic fare

Ayushmann has proved his talent yet again. He is outstanding. Even Bhumi has performed well. The first half is a laugh riot and the second half has the weight of the message. In all, the movie is fantastic. Be who you are and be confident about it.

Brilliant tale

Bala is a complete entertainer. Ayushmann knows his work so well and his choice of movies is brilliant. Bala is not just about baldness but many other social stigmas. I will suggest everyone to watch it. I’ll come again with my friends.

It’s the best

It’s the best movie of the year. I am totally impressed by Ayushmann. He is a superstar. Article 15, Dream Girl and now Bala, he has given his best to each film. The theme of the story maybe a serious one but it’s a hilarious movie. Many people will connect with it.

So relatable

Ayushmann is so believable and relatable as Bala. Bhumi also portrays her character well; just her make-up was not good. One could see she has been made to look dark. Yami looks pretty. Javed Jafri, Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Banerjee are all very funny, their comic timing will make you laugh to end. Do you need more reasons to watch it? Just go and enjoy the realistic film.

Unique execution

Bala is not like Ujada Chaman. The subject maybe the same but the execution is absolutely different. I like the storyline and acting both. Every actor gets a thumbs-up. I think Amar Kaushik as a director knows how to get the best out of his cast. Having said that, I have to say Ayushmann is the best. He carries the story on his shoulders. It’s a must-watch.
