Sony SAB is all set to launch a new show titled ‘Namune’on July 21. The show, which will air every Saturday and Saturday at 9 pm, will bring legendary writer PL Deshpande’s characters alive on screen. Purushottam Lakshman Deshpande, fondly known as Pula, was a Marathi writer and humourist. People could relate to him and his characters, owing to the uniqueness of his humour and inspiration from everyday life.

The show will see an array of seasoned actors from the theatre and television space. Niranjan, an insurance agent, will be played by Kunal Kumar. Sanjay Mone as PL Deshpande helps Niranjan hack the intricacies of life. Niranjan’s wife Bhairavi Agnihotri (Toral Rasputra), mother Kaushalya Agnihotri (Farida Dadi), his children Kavya (Saloni Daini) and Lalit (Aryan Prajapati), will be seen playing pivotal roles. Visible only to Niranjan, Pula - with his characters - teaches him how to live life to the fullest and the art of finding joy in the little things around him.
