Amritanshu and Priyanka Gupta are known to have started the first microbrewery in Tricity. From Hops and Grains in Panchkula, their next was The Great Bear Kitchen and Microbrewery in Chandigarh. We’ve witnessed their business acumen, here is to knowing them as a couple.

Made to meet

Amritanshu: We were made to meet by our parents but we said no to each other. But after much persuasion, we met again and that’s when we clicked.

Priyanka: Yes, our parents forced us.  And trust me, it has turned out pretty well.

Next step

A: It was her birthday and I thought of proposing her at the railway station while she was on her way back from Delhi.

P: We got married on November 13, 2009. I fondly remember Amritanshu’s dimpled smile on that day.

Amazing changes

A: Life has been amazing. We immediately started working on our dream project of opening a restaurant and bar.

P: Life has been a roller-coaster ride ever since the day of our marriage. We both had big dreams and fuelled those dreams with our passion and hard work.

Living along

A: It is fun and challenging at the same time. Now we have kids, so home is like a wonderfully festive zoo.

P: Back then life was all about work hard, party harder. Now, our kids add colour to our lives.

Love doing together

A: Drinking beer, watching movies, reading to our daughters.

P: I love travelling with him, whether it’s for the sake of travel or the endless discussions we do about restaurants while driving together for work.

If I could change

A: Nothing really. She is perfect the way she is.

P: One can’t chase the idea of changing things in a partner. It’s only when we appreciate each other for who we are can we live a long, happy, contended life. And he is pretty good.

Couple goals

A: Visit a100 countries together. And raise our two children wonderfully.

P: Live one year in Paris and take dancing lessons together.

Free time means

A: I play video games and I love programming. It is therapeutic for me.

P: I love virtual holidays, planning the next holidays.
