In the past month, the only tunes hummed in India were that of Badshah’s. Not only would he be making his acting debut with Khandaani Shafakhana this week, but has also given three songs in about four weeks to his fans. First, Koka made a mark after its release on June 27, then came Sheher Ki ladki for the same movie that takes us back to the old times when Raveena Tandon ruled the box office. Considering Badshah confessed once on a show that he is fan of Raveena and he even mentions her in one of his song, matak matak jaise Raveena Tandon, Sheher Ki Ladki was meant to be a hit. Thirty five million views define the popularity of this remix. Radio channels are playing his tunes on loop for the whole month. Badshah being himself never fails to bring his A-game and once again confirmed why he is the ‘badshah’ of music industry.
Apart from Badshah, Sheher Ki Ladki remix is sung by Tu Laung Main Elaachi singer Tulsi Kumar and Tanisk Bagchi, who is the latest poster-boy of remixes in Bollywood.

I am the nineties kid and had listened to the original one and happy that it is being remixed into something today’s generation can relate to. I hope some more songs like these are made so that my baby would be singing the same songs that I used to hum all the time.
